The election of the Mayor of London and the election to the London Assembly is now over. Sadiq Khan has been elected as the Mayor of London, beating his rival Zac Goldsmith.

Labour: 56.9%
Conservative: 43.1%.

First Preference Vote Share

Labour: 44.2%
Conservative: 35.0%
Green: 5.8%
Liberal Democrat: 4.6%
UKIP: 3.6%
Women's Equality Party: 2.0%
Respect: 1.4%
Britain First: 1.2%
CISTA: 0.8%
BNP: 0.5%
Independent: 0.5%
One Love: 0.2%.

London Assembly Election 2016

The London Assembly election has also been concluded.

Labour: 12 (-)
Conservative: 8 (-1)
Green: 2 (-)
UKIP: 2 (+2)
Liberal Democrat: 1 (-1).

Again, very little change on last time. The most significant change is the fact that UKIP is back in the London Assembly. It last won representation back in 2004 in the aftermath of its good European Union election results.
